The PLES PTO takes your privacy and security seriously. We recognize that your privacy is important, and we want you to be assured that your personal information will not be misused or left unprotected. This Privacy Statement outlines the types of personal information we gather and how we use that information.
The following principles apply to the personally identifying information we ask for and that you provide. "Personally identifying information" is information that individually identifies you, such as your name, physical address or email address.
Data Collection
PLES PTO only collects personal information during the race registration process, and on the "Contact" form. The information collected includes your name, address, email address and phone number(s).
In addition to the above information, we also collect credit card payment information during the registration process.
We also collect limited non-personally identifying information your browser makes available whenever you visit a web site. This information includes your Internet Protocol address, browser type, browser language, the date and time of your query and the name of the file you are requesting. We use this information to monitor visits to, and usage of our web site.
Information Sharing
PLES PTO does not rent or sell your personally identifying information to other companies or individuals. We may share such information in any of the following limited circumstances:
* We have your consent.
* We provide such information to trusted businesses or persons for the sole purpose of providing services in which you have expressed an interest, but we are unable to provide.
* We conclude that we are required by law or have a good faith belief that access, preservation or disclosure of such information is reasonably necessary to protect the rights, property or safety of PLES PTO, our employees and volunteers, or the public.
Information Security
We take appropriate security measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access. We restrict access to your personally identifying information to employees who need to know that information in order to fulfill your request.
We do not store your credit card information in any database, and it is not available to our employees. Payment information you provide is used only once during the registration process, and is not stored or shared on our servers.
